Transform the way you measure sites for snow

Duranta’s software is used to make snow, ice and landscaping maps and estimates for the industry’s most successful companies

In today's fast paced environment, the old way of getting snow and ice measurements no longer works. It is too slow to walk the lot, and it is too expensive to outsource the mapping to an “ai” firm that would return the results in hours. Of course, you could just use Google to carefully map out the property. But when you need to measure municipal sidewalks versus building sidewalks, asphalt vs concrete or count the number of parking spots - it takes a lot of time to get the right measurements.

“In today’s fast paced environment, the old way … no longer works.”

This is why we started Duranta: to transform the way people measure and analyze the world. We knew that we could use the latest advancements in AI to make getting accurate and comprehensive site measurements as easy as typing in an address. We built our model to accurately detect asphalt, concrete, count parking spots, distinguish between building and municipal sidewalks, and much more. And since so many of our clients do both snow and landscaping work, we also added lawns, beds, trees and more.

Since we launched earlier this year, the impact has been dramatic: our customers are creating site maps 90% faster, at a fraction of the cost than they would have paid otherwise. Over 300,000 properties are contracted to use Duranta, with more being added every week.  Some of the top 10 firms in the US are using Duranta, as well as others in Canada. It is clear that the old way of mapping properties will never return.

“Our customers are creating site maps 90% at a fraction of the cost they would have paid otherwise… over 300,000 properties are contracted to use Duranta.”

So what is next? We are investing heavily in making estimating better. Once the site map is created, the next step is creating the estimate and proposal. We are making good progress on that front, and we expect that soon it will be simple to automatically create models for properties.
