The SIMA Board of Directors is excited to announce an opportunity for you to become an integral part of our organization's future. We are seeking individuals who can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to our Board of Directors leadership team to best reflect the members we serve.

 

 

As a board member, you will play a crucial role in shaping SIMA's strategic direction, ensuring that our programs and services align with the needs of our members. Your insights and expertise will be invaluable in guiding our organization toward continued success.

 

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

  • Represent self-performing snow and ice professionals: Have backgrounds and experiences that reflect the typical member of our organization.
  • Represent the Supplier or Other Member Categories: Per SIMA’s bylaws, we allow for up to three (3) directors from the Supplier, Student, Lifetime/Founding/Charter, or Retired member categories.
  • Demonstrate Strong Leadership Skills: Have a proven track record of visionary leadership or are interested in growing as a leader through board experience.
  • Are Passionate About Our Mission: Share our commitment to empowering snow and ice management professionals for success.
  • Have a Strong Understanding of Our Industry: Possess knowledge and experience relevant to our field. The application to join the SIMA board is here. The application deadline is September 15, 2026. A director's term is for 3 years, and the board meets 3 times in person with additional virtual meetings.
